Guided Writing page #245 Question 2

 Recently, a lot people are facing a hard time sleeping well. Most of the people say it's because they're going through "Insomnia" as in not having the ability to sleep well. But there are many steps you can do to make your sleeping pattern better. First, you should not follow with the clock. For example, before going to bed you have to make sure to put the clock somewhere away from you, a place where you can't take a peek while you're asleep. Staring at the clock will keep you nervous, and it's going to keep reminding you on how much little time you have left to sleep. You can also set a regular bed time schedule. Train yourself to wake up and sleep everyday at the same time, your body will regularly get used to it and it'll start waking up alone without an alarm clock. Finally, try not to take naps when you're back from school,work, etc. Naps are life caffeine they keep you awake and concerned at the middle of the night.

Guided writing, page #97 "Why are rain forests important?"

Rain forests are mainly located in the area between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. After a period of time the world is going to face a huge drop of rain forests mainly because humans are destructing it. Rain forests provide homes for thousands of different plant and animal species, and when rain forests start to disappear, it's going to effect all kind of species. When people start cutting down trees in the rain forest, the habitat of many animals will disappear, which leads to an extinction to many different animal species. In addition, plants get their nutrients from trees, so when all trees are cut down the plants will most likely going to die. Humans also get benefit from rain forests; medicine and even food are found in rain forests. Coffee and many fruits that are essential to human life are actually originated in rain forests. Today, most of the elements that are found in rain forests can be used to make medicine. The climate of a rain forest is mostly humid because of all the rain, which also prevents dry weather. Furthermore, the average temperature in rain forests is 40 to 77 fahrenheit.

The history of Pepsi

 Pepsi Cola, one of the most famous drinks in the world, that currently has millions of factories all around the world first started in 1898. The man who came up with this idea is Caleb Bradham, when he first dropped out of school because his father couldn't afford the fees; his business was bankrupt. Caleb decided to open a drug store in New Bern and called it "Bradham Drug Company". His store housed a soda fountain, and by time he started getting compliments about how good the soda is, so he called it "Brad's drink". By time, he renamed the drink to Pepsi-cola because it contained "pepsin" and "cola". History of Halloween

Halloween started as a religious festival for the Celts people. Celts people lived in Europe, they believed that on late October the souls of the deaths visited The Earth, so they always used to throw up  a fair to honor these souls. In time, the Romain people controlled the Celts, and started to use some of their traditions and habits, so they added this festival to their calendar list, and made it viral for the rest of the world. The term halloween was originally formed by the Catholic Church on November 1, so it originally was called "All Hallows Day" that meant the mass of all saint people. How I'm going to help my friend with his high cholesterol level..

 My friend has taken the cholesterol test, and apparently he has high cholesterol level. He asked for my help especially; my dad had gone through this phase before, but he managed to drop the high cholesterol level and get into good shape again. I'm going to try my best to help my friend without him noticing a big difference in his lifestyle. First of all, I'm going to do a research about the restaurants in my city that do not prepare food with oil. For example, We'll go eat in restaurants that are known for their grilled food, and famous salad bar. Furthermore, I can take him to the gym with me for the reason that I have 4 free guest passes a week. At the gym, there are many exercises that focuses on how to reduce high cholesterol levels. For example, walking, jogging, swimming, and lifting weights. In addition, my mom only cooks vegetarian food, so he can visit every once in a while and eat dinner/lunch with us. After a while, I can encourage him to go take the Angiogram test that shows fat deposits, so he can see his improvements, and accomplishments. Finally, instead of eating everyday pancakes for breakfast with him, we can change that into eating something more healthier. In conclusion, I will try my best to keep my friend healthy. However, i'm sure if I had the same problem he would have done the same thing.

Revenge Story

This story is about a young girl whom real name is Amanda Clarke. When Amanda was about 8 years old her father got framed for killing someone, so he was imprisoned for life. Turns out that the people of her old neighborhood, The Hamptons, whom have framed all this.

Amanda Clarke wanted to take revenge, so she went with a new identity back to The Hamptons when she got older and changed her name to Emily throne. Furthermore, Amanda rented a beach house next to " The Graysons", her main target was Victoria Grayson, whom have betrayed Amanda's dad. Along the way, she started finding out new things about her dad, and how he tried to protect her from them.

Sandy Day

  On Friday August 7th,  a huge sandstorm hit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We get approximately 4 sandstorms a year, but this one was really dangerous and somehow scary.

 I have woken up that day at 7 o'clock, it was a regular day; the sun was shining, and the sky was completley blue. On my way to school, I was on twitter just reading thoughts, someone tweeted that there's a huge sandstorm on it's way to Riyadh, and I totally ignored that. At lunch break, all the students are just running in the hall to get food from the cafeteria, as soon as we get outside the building it was completley orange, and we couldn't see anything. My really close friend, Ahmed, has asthma so it really bursted his mood. We started walking to the cafeteria to grab some food, and he was coughing the whole time. I really didn't pay attention for that. However, suddenly I see him lying on the floor, and he couldn't move at all. After that, I started yelling for help, so the teachers came and we carried him to the doctor.

 The day passed by, and it was time to go back home. But the weather was only getting worse, and it took me like 30 minutes to find my driver. As soon as I get inside the car, a car bumps into us from behind. I got outside the car to check the damage but I couldn't see anything, and the driver who bumped into us has suddenly disappeared. My driver got paranoid and decided to park somewhere until the weather gets better. Finally, after waiting for about 2 hours we got back home safely.

In conclusion, this was the most adventurous day ever for me. But gladly, school got canceled on the next day.

Desert Animal

 The camel is an enormous 4 footed animal. Camels can be found in India, Pakistan, and parts of the Arabian regions. They are plant eaters, so they mostly feed on twigs, leaves, and grasses. Because it's big size, and height no animal actually dines on Camels. It's body is covered with brown fur and it has long leg and head, and they have flat feet so they don't sink in the sand. Camels can reach to 6 or 7 ft, and can survive really hot conditions for days; they used them to carry heavy supplies in the past. Camels can also provide a big amount of delicious meat, especially their ribs.

ALS summary

 ALS is a disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and can lead to death. All of a sudden this disease got viral on social media such as facebook, Instagram, and twitter. ALS usually hits people between the ages of 40 and 70. People started spreading awareness of this disease by taking a video of them getting poured with Ice and water then nominating other people to do the challenge. After that, people can decide to either accept the challenge or to donate for the ALS charity.

Selfies Summary

 Selfies is recently becoming the most popular way to post pictures on Instagram. People take selfies to describe their mood, or to show off a certain side of them. The reason why "Selfies" is getting viral because most of the famous celebrities pictures on Instagram are selfies. Most of the celebrities take Selfies for paparazzi's and for magazines covers; they would make good money out of it. Uncelebrity Selfies can glam up if the person who's taking it chose the right caption, and if he\she  was creative enough to actually make the people save it on their phones and posting it on different social media blogs.

  Population on the Earth has reached 6.5 billion. Over population is a major problem nowadays, most of the countries are suffering from overcrowding.

 The population in Saudi Arabia is rising over the years, and number of births has been increasing. If the population continues to grow, Saudi Arabia is going to face some major problems. Such as Poverty, lack of jobs, quality of education, and decrease of natural resources. Poverty is such a common problem in cities that has a lot of people, every city has it's level of poverty depending on the natural resources and job opportunities. After a while, there are going to be fewer jobs due to the large amount of people. In a result, bad habits starts popping out such as crimes, and stealing.

Education is essential in every country, and when having over capacity with students that means schools will be more crowded, and having less space for students. In addition, this lack of education will hunt children and adults for many generations. 

The Earth has few amount of natural resources such as water, food, oil, and coal. If we keep using them  in the same amount as we do now, we're going to have an enormous shortage that will lead to having fresh water crises.

All in all, we can save the world by changing our everyday's actions, and continue to teach people by letting them know about after effects of overpopulation.

One Great Trip

  Last semester, my friends and I went to Disney Land for our graduation. Every year our school organizes a trip to celebrate graduation, but this year it was canceled for an incident that happened. We tried our best to make good memories out of the trip.

 The trip to Disney Land wasn't exactly planned, our main destination was Los Angeles. On a Sunday morning, we got on a plane, we were about 20 students. Once I got onto the plane and sat down, I started thinking about my family; It was my first trip without them. We arrived to Los Angeles on a Monday night. And it took us approximately one hour to get to our hotel. Then everyone got their desired room and went to bed after a long exhaustion day.

 In the morning, we all went to eat breakfast. After that, we ordered a bus that can fit 20 people to take us to Disney Land. By the time we arrived, it was lunch time so we decided to eat before we start our adventure. Everyone suddenly disappeared, it was just me and two other guys. First, we waited in line for the Buzz Lightyear ride. It was really fun, but the Space Mountain ride was the best; It's a dark roller coaster through space, it was so scary.

  

We suddenly bumped into the rest of our group, so we decided to take a group picture with the Fantasy Castle. Finally, we ended the night by having dinner in a restaurant that was also displayed by fireworks view.

In conclusion, the trip was short, but it was one of the best trips I have ever been to. I got along with everyone, although there was a bit of misunderstanding but overall it was just great.
